Donor Scholarships*

By applying to this scholarship application, you are applying to all the below donor scholarships. A committee will review your application and determine if you meet any of the qualifications below. Determination of these scholarships will not take place until the end of March 2023. 

 

Students applying for the following scholarships must meet these requirements:

·         A full-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 12 on-campus units)

·         Exhibit godly character

·         Be in good standing with satisfactory academic progress policy

·         Have a strong work ethic

 

* Some scholarships may have additional requirements

* Donor scholarships are awarded for one year. Students can apply again in subsequent academic years, but renewal is not guaranteed.


Need-based Donor Scholarships:


The Baycross Foundation Endowed Scholarship

The Baycross Foundation Endowed Scholarship established by The Baycross Foundation, shall provide financial assistance to deserving TMU students who show reasonable progress toward completion of a degree at TMU.


The Barbara Cherry Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Barbara Cherry Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in remembrance of Mr. Cherry's beloved late wife, Mrs. Barbara Cherry. The scholarship provides aid to deserving TMU students who meet the qualifications below.

 

Additional Qualifications:

§  Preference is given to students whose area of study is in the sciences. The scholarship distributions are to be used for the cost of tuition, room and board, books, fees, and other educational expenses that would otherwise qualify for educational expenses under the U.S. government loan programs.  



The Betty J. Cargill Memorial Scholarship

The Betty J. Cargill Memorial Scholarship has been established by the family of Mrs. Cargill in remembrance of their beloved grandmother, who lived her life to the fullest and loved everyone unconditionally with a love that can only come from Christ. Betty was a farm girl with an extraordinary work ethic. Thus, the purpose of this endowed scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance to students who reflect this same work ethic as well as solid Christian character that would demonstrate a strong potential for significant Kingdom impact. 

Additional Qualifications:

§   Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (consideration may be given to a student with a lower GPA, provided that the student meets the eligibility requirements listed above and can demonstrate that exceptional circumstances have led to a GPA below 3.5).

 

The Colleen Southern-Carmichael Scholarship

The Colleen Southern-Carmichael Scholarship is given in honor of the surviving widow of Mr. Thomas Carmichael.

Additional Qualifications:

§  Preferably be either

(1) a dependent of an active missionary in full time service on the mission field and not receiving financial aid for educational expenses from their mission agency; or

(2) a student with physical disabilities regardless of the missionary status of the parents. If no suitable candidate is found meeting these preferences, then the scholarship may be awarded to any student otherwise meeting the qualifications. 

 

 

The Cornelius Fund Scholarship

The Cornelius Fund Scholarship was established in 2011 by Carroll and Catherine Pinckard to provide financial assistance to deserving students at The Master's University; specifically, to help students who are unable to finance a private Christian liberal arts education.

§  Be a Liberal Arts major


The David and Eryn Lee Endowed Scholarship

The David and Eryn Lee Endowed Scholarship was established by David and Eryn Lee to provide financial assistance to deserving students at TMU who show reasonable progress toward completion of a degree at TMU.

§  Be a Biblical Counseling major

§  Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0


The Generations of Grace Scholarship

The Generations of Grace Scholarship provides financial assistance to deserving students who show reasonable progress toward the completion of a degree at TMU.


 The Hardy Family Scholarship


The Hardy Family Scholarship was established by Jay Hardy. The scholarship is specifically intended to provide financial assistance to offset students' cost of tuition, room, and board, and other educational expenses. Preference given to students coming from likeminded churches within the Central Coast of California.


Additional Qualifications:

§  Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

The Nadine Tilley Scholarship

The Nadine Tilley Scholarship was established to build on her desire to aid students who have financial constraints through the establishment of the scholarship.

Merit-based Donor Scholarships:

 

The Alice Richardson Memorial Scholarship

The Alice Richardson Memorial Scholarship was established by Mort J. Richardson in honor of Alice M. Richardson to provide financial assistance to students attending The Master's University.

 

The Great is Thy Faithfulness Scholarship

The Great is Thy Faithfulness Scholarship was established in honor of Rosalee Crady. The scholarship is specifically intended to provide financial assistance to offset students' cost of tuition and other educational expenses.


 The JRW Investments Scholarship


The JRW Investments Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students showing reasonable progress towards the completion of a degree at The Master's University.

Additional Qualifications:

§  Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.


The Red Rhino Scholarship

The Red Rhino Scholarship was established by Red Rhino. The scholarship provides assistance to a high achieving, service-oriented student.


Additional Qualifications:

§  Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
