Be advised that our biblical counseling programs are consistent with the policies of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), and our Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling (MABC) and Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling programs incorporate all requirements for ACBC certification. Because this is the case, the student must comply with all ACBC standards to remain certified through their organization and to obtain ACBC certification through our program (if not already done so). For your reference, here are the ACBC Standards of Doctrine, the ACBC Standards of Conduct, and the ACBC Covenant. Most significantly for the question(s) below, students who attend or are members of a church which operates with women serving in pastoral roles or have the title of “Pastor” or “Shepherd” are not eligible to enroll in or graduate from the Graduate Studies in Biblical Counseling program(s) and will not be recommended for ACBC certification. Our Admissions team will be glad to discuss the biblical basis of this policy further with you if you have any questions. Please consult ACBC's Statement on Female Pastors for further information about how this impacts ACBC certification.
