We joyfully honor the life of Audrey Ku Chou, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Audrey, beloved wife of Pastor Yueting Chou and devoted mother to TMUS President Abner Chou, peacefully entered the Lord’s presence on December 31, 2022. This esteemed scholarship serves as a tribute to Audrey’s accomplishments, including her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her notable post-doctorate work at Ohio State University. She contributed significantly to research during her distinguished career at Monsanto, resulting in valuable patents.
It is vital to highlight Audrey’s noble choice to prioritize raising her family and ministering to her church by stepping away from her work at Monsanto. Even after her husband’s ordination as a pastor, Audrey remained devoted to her youth ministry within the church. The Master’s University is humbled to recognize Audrey’s invaluable impact in sciences and her unwavering commitment to her family and church. Her labor continues to bear fruit through the godly leadership of her son, Abner, at TMUS.
This newly established STEM scholarship represents a lasting legacy that will benefit future students. It celebrates Audrey’s remarkable life and aligns with The Master’s University’s mission to equip students with an unwavering devotion to Christ, biblical fidelity, moral integrity, intellectual growth, and a lasting impact on the Kingdom of God worldwide. Additionally, this scholarship supports TMU’s active pursuit of expanding its Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) curriculum and enrollment to cultivate and empower future scientists and engineers firmly rooted in the Word of God.
