TMU Theatre Arts Scholarship

TMU Theatre Arts is a co-curricular program housed in the Communication Department. It is designed to give training and expression in the performing arts alongside any major at the University. Participants and contributors come from all disciplines, dorms, and interests at TMU.

We instill students with a biblical philosophy of the performing arts while giving them experience in the craft of acting and/or the many aspects of production. We emphasize the process as much as the product, which enables us to have an others-focused theatre program. This mindset pervades everything we do as we strive together to serve with our varied gifts. We love seeing the various ways they use their skills and become gospel witnesses.

Scholarship Requirements:

Be enrolled as a full-time student
Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
Have participated in at least 1 TMU Theatre Production. (Participation includes: acting, costuming, props, lighting, audio, set building/production design, stage crew & management, hair & makeup, video production, social media & photography, cast services & hospitality, or other behind the scenes work.)
Commit to be apart of TMU Theatre Arts in 2026-2027

* The TMU Theatre Arts scholarship is awarded for one year. Students are allowed to apply again in subsequent academic years, but renewal is not guaranteed.
