All F-1 students must enroll full-time and complete all coursework during their authorized period of study at TMUS to maintain F-1 status:

12 units – Undergraduate Students
8 units – Graduate Students

If you selected a medical reason on the previous page, your Academic Advisor will need to be notified of your plans, but will not need to approve anything in the process. The International Student Office (ISO) will be informed and will update you on your status.

However, if you selected a non-medical reason on the previous page, your advisor will be emailed a form to complete his/her part of the RCL application. Your RCL application is not complete until your advisor completes his/her part. 



You will be notified after your Academic Advisor completes his/her part of the form.
